Brian Keen has nearly 30 years of experience in industrial process chemistry with Union Carbide and Dow Chemical. His interests include the creation of new and innovative technologies, the development and implementation of new process technology, operations improvement to enhance productivity and reduce costs, and the development of an in-depth understanding of processes to enable further improvement. He has commercialized over a dozen new process and product technologies with a margin value of over $250 million.
Dr. Keen is recognized as a subject matter expert in a variety of process and catalyst technologies, including alkoxylation, esterification, and ion exchange. He has led technology development in businesses such as glycol ethers, brake fluids, and acetone derivatives. He has held faculty positions at the University of Wisconsin and Pennsylvania State University.
