Senior Chemical Engineer

Mr. Warren Woomer is a highly experienced and talented chemicals manufacturing expert who has been intimately involved in the transfer and implementation of new processes and products all the way from R&D to Engineering to Manufacturing. He is familiar with the operational challenges during the transfer of technology to a commercial size facility. He has implemented new technologies and has led both small and very large projects on a truly global scale. Mr. Woomer worked as a production engineer in several different plants and as a member of several new facility Startup Teams.

As Production Manager for the Union Carbide’s Agricultural Chemicals Division, he oversaw the operation of agricultural units at three domestic manufacturing sites (Institute, Texas City and Taft), three contract operation sites and contract formulating sites. He also served as Special Projects Manager, responsible for evaluating potential agricultural chemical acquisition candidates, evaluating expansions, and conducting cost improvement projects at all sites.

In 1990 Mr. Woomer started independent consulting. He has developed strategic site and business plans for facilities, assisted in improvement studies, cost evaluations, site studies, historical environmental studies, managed projects, and assisted in incident investigations. Most recently he has worked with MATRIC to implement operator training programs.
