The Charleston, W.Va., water contamination issue continues to lead national and international media headlines. As a company based in the greater Charleston area, it’s easy to say that last week is one for the West Virginia record books. First, we experience unseasonably and dangerously low temperatures and wind chills, which subsided by mid-week. Then on Friday, more than 300,000 Charleston area residents are impacted by the water contamination issue, an issue that yet to be fully resolved.   We are confident that the region is doing everything it can to quickly find solutions to this issue so that all residents and businesses can go back to their everyday lives.

At MATRIC, we’re proud to say that we’re currently open for business. Since Saturday, our doors have been open and we’re continuing to work diligently to serve our customers. We’re working day (and night) as needed to ensure that the needs of all of our customers and partners are met, while also following the necessary industry and regulatory safety guidelines.

We look forward to the day when the complete solution to this issue arrives. Until then, we are grateful to West Virginia American Water, the U.S. National Guard and all parties involved for their hard work and dedication to this region over the past few days.
